Temple Sholom of Ontario welcomes you to attend our religious services and to participate in our activities.
We are known for our warm and friendly hospitality.  We offer a setting where Jews of all backgrounds and religious experiences can grow both spiritually and socially in a traditional yet modern Jewish environment.

Temple Sholom of Ontario serves the Pomona Valley and adjacent areas.  We are a Conservative congregation affiliated with the United Synagogue of America.  We began as a Traditional Congregation in the early 1950's and have been in our present building since 1960.

Shabbat Services are held weekly at 8pm on Fridays and 10 am on Saturdays.  Family services are held the last Friday of the month at 7:30 pm.  All our men wear a head covering (kipah or yarmulke) and women are expected to also wear a head covering when they go up to the Bimah.

Temple Sholom observes all Jewish holidays and special services are held in time of need such as in the week of mourning (Shiva) and at Yarzeits.
On the first Sunday of each Hebrew month, at 9 am, a Tefillin Service is held.

A social hall and kosher kitchen are used for all Kiddush and Oneg Shabbat events as well as any other Temple activities, community events and member's private celebrations.

Hebrew and Religious School is held two afternoons per week and Sunday mornings.  Children in K thru 3 attend only Sunday School.  Older children attend afternoons and on Sundays.  Bar and Bat Mitzvah lessons are regularly held.  Ninth Grade students attend Havurat Noar, a county wide program featuring weekend encampments in the mountains in Malibu.  Tenth Graders are in the Confirmation Class.  Youth programs are regularly planned in order to give our young people opportunities to participate in social activities.
