Ship's Registry: Italy

The captivating romance and pleasures of the Costa Atlantica begin as soon as you step aboard. Her twelve passenger decks, each named after movies directed by the famous Italian director, Federico Fellini are decorated with prominently displayed paparazzi photos of movie stars. Carrara marble, Murano-glass accents, in-laid mosaic tile and a Venetian atmosphere are among the many elements that distinguish her. From her awe-inspiring replica of Venice's Caffe Florian to her incredible atrium spanning the entire ship, the Costa Atlantica provides a dramatic and exciting venue for her guests.

Cities on a human scale, great forests, mountains and glaciers reflecting in the clear waters of the fjords abound as you sail along. The memory of a great land where man is at one with nature and where culture and history find their roots in the salty waters of the ocean are waiting to be discovered.

Flam is a typical village huddled between a fjord and a sheer cliff down to the sea. As the sea winds its way up the fjords the rivers take on spectacular and unusual traits, allowing for splendid specimens of fish such as large salmon.

Hellesylt is the gateway to some spectacular Norwegian scenery nestling in the country of fjords. Surrounded by steep rocky mountains, dissected by cascading waterfalls and decorated with thriving fruit trees, the fjords are among the Earth's most inspiring landscapes. The air is pure, the water clear and nature unspoiled. The many waterfalls of the area are a great attraction, as is Horningdalsvannet, the deepest lake in the world, reaching a depth of 600 metres and according to local folklore inhabited by some very strange marine life. Each of the ports on our cruise offers breathtaking natural beauty and truly amazing photo opportunities.
