Day 1, Thursday: New York
Arrival to New York, transfer to the hotel and prepare for an evening walking tour on the avenues of Manhattan. |
Day 2, Friday: New York
In the morning we'll sail to Liberty Island where we'll see the Statue of Liberty. We'll continue to Ellis Island, where millions of immigrants arrived to the New World at the beginning of the 20th century. As we tour the city on our bus, accompanied by an Israeli and a local guide, we'll view many of the famous sites in Manhattan; Ground Zero where the Twin Towers once stood proudly. We'll drive along new York's famous Fifth Avenue, and pass the United Nations building; we'll see Lincoln Center and Central Park, Times Square and the Rockefeller Center; Harlem and little Italy; Wall Street and Chinatown. We'll go up to the top of the Empire State Building for a scintillating panoramic view of this huge and exciting metropolis.
We'll return to the hotel to prepare for Shabbat. |
Day 3, Shabbat: New York
Free day at leisure. |
Day 4, Sunday: New York – Niagara Falls
We'll start early and head northeast of New York City to upstate New York. We'll pass by typical New York villages, forests, rivers and lakes as we make our way to Niagara Falls.
Transfer to the hotel.
In the evening we'll take a guided walking tour, to view the floodlit falls, in their entire splendor. |
Day 5, Monday: Niagara Falls – The Finger Lakes – Lancaster
We'll board the "Maid of the Mist" and sail right beneath the falls to experience their incredible force and power from a most spectacular vantage point. Afterwards we'll head to the Finger Lakes – created from ancient glaciers that left their "fingerprints" in this area of upstate New York. We'll continue to the town of Corning, famous for its world-renowned glassworks.
Then we'll continue into Pennsylvania, to Amish country, and overnight in Lancaster. |
Day 6, Tuesday: Lancaster – Washington DC
A visit to Amish country is a trip into the world of a community that hasn't changed its customs or its way of life for a hundred years and more. The community uses no modern technology yet continues to survive and flourish in our modern world. We'll visit the famous chocolate factory at Hershey and learn how chocolate is made (and even get to taste some!). On we go to Philadelphia, birthplace of the American Union, where we'll learn all about the founding and independence of this great nation. We'll visit the hall where independence was declared by America's founding fathers on July 4, 1776. We'll also see the original liberty bell, a replica of which stands in Jerusalem. And we'll visit the memorial to Yonatan Netanyahu, hero of the Entebbe rescue mission.
We'll end the day in Washington DC. |
Day 7, Wednesday: Washington DC
A morning visit to the White House starts the day. Then, it's on to the Capitol and the Congress, as well as the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials, followed by the Pentagon and Arlington Cemetery where the heroes of America lie buried. We'll stop by the memorial to the astronauts of the Columbia mission, including our own Ilan Ramon, and then continue the day at the Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum. |
Day 8, Thursday: Washington DC – Orlando FL
We'll fly from DC to Orlando in Florida.
Upon arrival we'll enjoy a panoramic tour of the city and transfer to our hotel.
In the evening we can enjoy one of the many colorful shows in town (optional extra).
|

We'll return to the hotel to prepare for Shabbat. |
Day 10, Shabbat: Orlando FL
A free day at leisure. |
Day 11, Sunday: Orlando FL
A full day's adventure at Walt Disney World awaits us today. A day of enchantment and fun along with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, and the many rides and shows created by the master of entertainment and the industry that he created. |
Day 12, Monday: Orlando FL
Today we'll enjoy the future at EPCOT Center. Technology and space travel and the opportunities of and for the future await us here.
In the afternoon we'll visit the various exhibitions constructed and maintained here by countries from all over the world - a true international exposition. |
Day 13, Tuesday: Orlando – New York – Home Gateway
Filled to the brim with the thrill of the experiences we have enjoyed during this amazing trip, we'll head to Orlando Airport and make our way to New York.

Kashrut on Tours
Kosher food is provided to our travelers on all our tours. We work with the local Rabbinate to provide Hashgacha for all local ingredients and fresh meat and poultry. In some cases, we fly in kosher food from Israel and other sources, depending on the destination of the tour. We do not guarantee Pat Israel and Chalav Israel for all destinations.
In many destinations we have our own crockery and cutlery. Where we don't, we provide disposables at the meals. When we cook in Hotel kitchens, we ensure proper Kashering and we use our own kitchenware on kashered and covered surfaces. All this is done under the strict supervision of our trained staff/guides who function as our Mashgichim. Our travelers enjoy gourmet meals prepared by our team including fresh local fish, fruit, and vegetables. This is an integral part of Jewish travel. We make great efforts to assure that our travelers will experience local foods first-hand, while maintaining stringent observance of Kashrut laws on all occasions.
Rabbi Menahem Fogel
A native of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Menahem Fogel served as a pulpit rabbi in South Africa and Canada before returning to Israel in 1984 to take up the position of spokesman of Yad Vashem, in Jerusalem, a position he held for six years. Since that time he has held senior positions in both the public and private sectors developing interactive computer systems for museums around the world. He also lived and worked in the USA, Netherlands, Austria, UK and India. A lifelong yearning for travel led to his becoming a Tour Manager in 2000 and developed expertise in tourism to Japan & China, Alaska, Canadian Rockies and Africa. Recently he took on the added role of Rav Hamachshir for The Kosher Travel Club to ensure the highest standards of Kashrut are implemented on all our Kosher Tours.
For any questions about Kashrut please feel free to email menahemf@netvision.net.il |
